Network Marketing Tips: C’mon Fix It And Smile

Network Marketing TipsNetwork Marketing Tips: The words struggle and network marketing or MLM seem completely synonymous with each other. Ironic when you consider that when we pitch other people on network marketing or MLM, we tend to tell them how agonising their jobs are, how they need to get a life and spend time with their families, how the money in their opportunity is fab (and while that maybe so, most people in this space are broke) and so on and so forth. Don’t get me wrong I’m not dissing network marketing, in fact I think  network marketing is actually a superior way to do business. Unfortunately, for some strange reason poeple market their MLM businesses in a completely wrong way.

Anyway, all problems in this world are fixable if you decide to fix them. So here is a list of a few of my network marketing tips that genuinely made it possible for me to suggest network marketing as a viable alternative without having my conscience bother me at all.

MLM & Network Marketing TipsTarget the right people: One of the big reasons that network marketers struggle is that they target the wrong people. You are going to find it easier to get through to people already in some sort of MLM than people with whom you have to go through the whole pyramid scheme rubbish. The cool thing with the internet is thattargeting and generating leads fine tuned to your targeting desires is pretty easy. Don’t get me wrong, you can of course target the huge numbers flocking here which have been affected by the bad economy but you will find it easier getting through to those who already get it.

MLM & Network Marketing TipsGenerate your own leads: I don’t know if I have been just plain unlucky or what but I have had “zero” success with leads I have purchased but I enjoy great success with leads which “I” generate. I put this down to 2 things a) You cannot trust leads you purchase b) conruency with the flow through your funnel that the lead follows. Once again generating leads on the Internet isn’t rocket science and the best part is that you can outsource many tasks related to lead generation.

MLM & Network Marketing TipsDon’t sell them anything: I have noticed that it can be extremely difficult to convince people to join you or buy something you’re selling if they start thinking that you are trying to sell them something. So what do you do? Don’t sell them anything! The best marketing technique to use is Attraction Marketing and it really works well. The way it works is that you provide value to people [genuinely solve their problems, like this post perhaps? :) ] and once they start perceiving you as someone that can offer value to their lives, they will want to join you themselves (yes seriously!). Try it for yourself. You will find that leads which you captured by providing them some killer training (or similar value that can really help them) will convert easier than leads to whom you directly pitch your opportunity. In fact, directly pitching your opportunity is one of the most ineffective ways to grow your MLM business; atleast it was for me.

MLM & Network Marketing TipsNot everybody’s going to join you AND that’s not the end of the world: In network marketing for some odd reason your spomsor doesn’t tell you that not everybone is going to signup with you and that’s PERFECTLY NORMAL. It is so powerful if you can understand this and if you don’t you are going to sabotage your own success. How? If you thiink that everyone or almost everyone is going to join you, then you are going to be crushingly dissappointed and eventually start coming accross as despearate and needy. Once you get to that state, getting people into your business is virtually impossible. Remember, people will join if YOU have VALUE to offer THEM and when you are needy it comes across as the other way round. The amazing thing though is that while not everybpdy will decide on your main offer, they will generally be quite receptive to other stuff you might have on the table (like affiliate offers) provided you offer them good value like REAL valuable and helpful content. This is called a funded proposal and it’s really important that you set one up. If you ask me this is where the really money is and personally speaking, this is how I was earning long before I got my first signup.

MLM & Network Marketing Tips“Hello is it me your looking for?”: Okay, that’s definitely not what you should say on the phone but I just want to lighten things a bit because this seems to be the network marketing equivalent of cleaning the toilet but it’s actually a whole lot easier than what you might think. Now if you’re cold calling the wrong people then even I’m not game for sure.

But…

(This post was getting pretty long and since calling on the phone seems to be such an issue, I’m just going to dedicate a full post to it. The “game changer” for me came when I heard a really casual  interview between MLSP co-founder Brian Finale and Mike Dillard. So much of this post is inspired by that interview, especially the phone calling bit. Therefore, definitely be on the look out for that post. Will try and put it out quick.)

Lead generation is important but it also important to learn how to close those leads. Great post!
