Network Marketing Tips: The words struggle and network marketing or MLM seem completely synonymous with each other. Ironic when you consider that when we pitch other people on network marketing or MLM, we tend to tell them how agonising their jobs are, how they need to get a life and spend time with their families, how the money in their opportunity is fab (and while that maybe so, most people in this space are broke) and so on and so forth. Don’t get me wrong I’m not dissing network marketing, in fact I think  network marketing is actually a superior way to do business. Unfortunately, for some strange reason poeple market their MLM businesses in a completely wrong way.

Anyway, all problems in this world are fixable if you decide to fix them. So here is a list of a few of my network marketing tips that genuinely made it possible for me to suggest network marketing as a viable alternative without having my conscience bother me at all.

Target the right people: One of the big reasons that network marketers struggle is that they target the wrong people. You are going to find it easier to get through to people already in some sort of MLM than people with whom you have to go through the whole pyramid scheme rubbish. The cool thing with the internet is thattargeting and generating leads fine tuned to your targeting desires is pretty easy. Don’t get me wrong, you can of course target the huge numbers flocking here which have been affected by the bad economy but you will find it easier getting through to those who already get it.

Generate your own leads: I don’t know if I have been just plain unlucky or what but I have had “zero” success with leads I have purchased but I enjoy great success with leads which “I” generate. I put this down to 2 things a) You cannot trust leads you purchase b) conruency with the flow through your funnel that the lead follows. Once again generating leads on the Internet isn’t rocket science and the best part is that you can outsource many tasks related to lead generation.

Don’t sell them anything: I have noticed that it can be extremely difficult to convince people to join you or buy something you’re selling if they start thinking that you are trying to sell them something. So what do you do? Don’t sell them anything! The best marketing technique to use is Attraction Marketing and it really works well. The way it works is that you provide value to people [genuinely solve their problems, like this post perhaps? ] and once they start perceiving you as someone that can offer value to their lives, they will want to join you themselves (yes seriously!). Try it for yourself. You will find that leads which you captured by providing them some killer training (or similar value that can really help them) will convert easier than leads to whom you directly pitch your opportunity. In fact, directly pitching your opportunity is one of the most ineffective ways to grow your MLM business; atleast it was for me.

Not everybody’s going to join you AND that’s not the end of the world: In network marketing for some odd reason your spomsor doesn’t tell you that not everybone is going to signup with you and that’s PERFECTLY NORMAL. It is so powerful if you can understand this and if you don’t you are going to sabotage your own success. How? If you thiink that everyone or almost everyone is going to join you, then you are going to be crushingly dissappointed and eventually start coming accross as despearate and needy. Once you get to that state, getting people into your business is virtually impossible. Remember, people will join if YOU have VALUE to offer THEM and when you are needy it comes across as the other way round. The amazing thing though is that while not everybpdy will decide on your main offer, they will generally be quite receptive to other stuff you might have on the table (like affiliate offers) provided you offer them good value like REAL valuable and helpful content. This is called a funded proposal and it’s really important that you set one up. If you ask me this is where the really money is and personally speaking, this is how I was earning long before I got my first signup.

“Hello is it me your looking for?”: Okay, that’s definitely not what you should say on the phone but I just want to lighten things a bit because this seems to be the network marketing equivalent of cleaning the toilet but it’s actually a whole lot easier than what you might think. Now if you’re cold calling the wrong people then even I’m not game for sure.

But…

(This post was getting pretty long and since calling on the phone seems to be such an issue, I’m just going to dedicate a full post to it. The “game changer” for me came when I heard a really casual  interview between MLSP co-founder Brian Finale and Mike Dillard. Okay so you’ve been searching for the best MLM compensation plans and why not? So what do you think? Remember it’s important that you pick something that is doable (unless you’re a glutton for punishment) and more importantly also “doable” by people you partner with. After all the best MLM Compensation Plans are great on paper but the only plan that should matter to you is the one that is able to put some real moolah into your pocket.

What is a residual income business opportunity?

First, let me start by explaing what a residual income business is and why it’s so important to be part of a residual income business opportunity? A residual income business is one where you continue to receive income from the program even after completing the sale (or referral) and having received your monetary dues. With a residual income program you would be receiving a monthly (or whatever time period) income due to a sale or referral on a regular basis, even though you only made the sale once. Are you confused (perhaps a wee bit)? Don’t worry, it will all make sense once we look at it with reference to InfinityDownline.

So even if you didn’t refer another you wpuld still be earning money from that person for as long as he was active in InfinityDownline.

All this is best understood by virtue of an example. Say you refer five people into the business in March, thus you’d earn $125 in commissions for those five referrals. Now in April you refer 4 people so you would get $200 for those four plus $125 from the five March referrals. And then suppose in May you don’t get any referrals then what? Well, you will still get paid $375. A residual income business allows you to leverage you efforts and grow at an incredinle pace.
